Job summary

Aperture LLC in Denver, CO is seeking a Civil Engineer with forensic investigation experience to conduct investigations, assess structural conditions, and document findings for insurance-related cases.

You will review plans, perform inspections, collect data, and prepare detailed reports. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of experience, a civil engineering degree, and strong analytical writing skills; PE license is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with proven experience in forensic investigations, data analysis, and report writing.
• Structural engineering education and experience preferred.
• Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct engineering analyses for a range of projects including commercial and residential structures.
• Evaluate data from reports, plans, records, site photos, and interviews to form conclusions.
• Perform inspections in-town and out-of-town, document site-specific variables, and obtain photos with annotations.
• Communicate with clients about project details and document all correspondence.
• Assist with other forensic investigations related to causes of damages, defects, and building envelope issues.
• Use computer-assisted engineering and design software to prepare engineering design documents.
