Job summary

Gulf Coast Center is seeking a Part-time Case Manager Forensic Services/Intake Specialist to screen inmates at Brazoria County Detention Center and coordinate mental health services. The role requires reporting to the Program Manager for Forensic Services and ensuring continuity of care for defendants with mental impairments.

The position emphasizes collaboration with jail staff, law enforcement, and the District Attorney while maintaining trauma-informed practices and strict adherence to center

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Behavioral Science.
• Preferred: two years full-time experience providing human services.
• Able to communicate with law enforcement, courts, and social service agencies.

Responsibilities

• Screen offenders at Brazoria County Detention Center as part of intake.
• Prepare Article 16.22 reports and treatment recommendations for magistrates.
• Coordinate with jail medical provider for mental health services and continuity of care.
• Assist jail, district attorney and courts with jail diversion activities.
• Maintain compliance with GCC policies and professional conduct.
