Job summary

The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD in Houston, TX seeks a Forensic Clinical Court Interviewer (FCCI) to perform clinical interviews, screenings, and assessments for 16.22 reporting, with potential deployment at Harris County Jail or Courts. You will document findings in medical records, coordinate with court staff, and maintain cultural sensitivity while upholding ethical standards.

A Bachelor’s in human services and at least 2 years in mental health are required; strong communication,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services field (psychology, sociology, etc.).
• 2 years in mental health preferred.
• Understanding of mental illness signs and coping difficulties.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical interviews to determine mental health status.
• Completes reporting in an accurate and timely manner as designated.
• Documents all findings in the medical record within required deadlines.
• Communicates and works with court staff/consumers/other staff in a manner that demonstrates sensitivity to cultural diversities.
• Performs related work as assigned and adapts to changing work requirements.
• Demonstrates ethical conduct in all clinical and professional activities
