Job summary

Thornton Tomasetti is seeking a Structural Engineer for its Forensics Practice to investigate structural performance issues, conduct failure analyses, and evaluate damage from events such as storms, construction defects, or material degradation. You will contribute to technical investigations, expert reporting, and remediation design in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering; Master’s or PhD preferred.
• Familiarity with forensic investigation techniques and structural analysis tools.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Detail-oriented approach with the ability to check work with care and curiosity.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structural analysis and diagnostic evaluations for damaged or distressed structures.
• Prepare clear, detailed reports and visual documentation for technical and legal audiences.
• Participate in site inspections and field investigations, including evidence collection.
