Job summary

TelCom Construction, LLC is seeking an Equipment Foreman for our Telecom Construction team in Des Moines, IA. You will lead crews, ensure projects run on schedule, manage equipment and materials, and maintain a safe, productive work environment.

You’ll supervise day-to-day field activities, coordinate with the supervisor, ensure DOT paperwork and production notes are up to date, and enforce OSHA safety policies. Prior foreman experience is preferred, and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years related field experience.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead crews to meet project timelines.
• Safely operate and control assigned equipment.
• Assist the Supervisor with day-to-day activities and provide updates as needed.
• Oversee and help with training of crew members.
• Help ensure everyone follows safety policies, OSHA, and DOT regulations.
• Maintain production notes & DOT paperwork.
• Operate heavy equipment and machinery, perform maintenance.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• All other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• A valid driver’s license
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, relevant work experience, or a combination of education and work experience preferred
• At least three years of related experience
• Previous Foreman experience preferred

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, work at heights & in confined spaces, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
