Jackson County Missouri is seeking a Parks & Rec professional to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of assigned divisions and to supervise staff. The role involves making daily operational decisions, managing projects, and guiding junior team members.

The position requires a High School Diploma, 5 years in a related field with 1–2 years of supervisory experience, and relevant CDL endorsements with HazMat where applicable.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Five years of related experience, including 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
• Division-specific training must be completed as directed.
• Additional qualifications may be required depending on department needs.
• Must obtain Class B CDL with Air Brake Endorsement within six months of hire.
• Must obtain or retain Class A CDL with Air Brake Endorsement and HazMat endorsement within six months, where applicable.

Job Description

• Responsible for ensuring the successful operation and maintenance of specific division operations, making daily operational decisions
• Responsible for the operation and maintenance of assigned projects and the necessary associates and equipment by which to complete; responsible for recommending materials needed for work projects and estimating general associated costs, when required.
• Responsible for the supervision and training of junior staff.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or its equivalent.
• Five years of previous experience in an industry related position or craft, which includes one to two years of supervisory experience.
• Must complete Division specific training as directed.
• Additional qualifications dependent on department needs.
• Must obtain a Class B Commercial Driver's License with Air Brake Endorsement within six months of hire.
• Must have obtained a Class A Commercial Driver's License with Air Brake Endorsement and HAZMAT or can obtain/retain HAZMAT endorsement within six months of hire, where applicable.
