Job summary

Precision Drilling Company, LP is seeking a Foreman for Engines-Power Systems to lead technicians in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining oilfield engines on-site.

You will supervise full‑time mechanics, coordinate work, mentor staff, and uphold safety, quality, and regulatory standards while managing shop records and inventory.

Strong CAT engine expertise and a track record of operational leadership are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of engine repair experience with Caterpillar engine systems.
  • Experience supervising full-time mechanics in a shop or field environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and SAP, with strong computer literacy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise technicians in the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of oilfield engines, ensuring high performance and quality standards.
  • Perform advanced diagnostics and complex repairs while troubleshooting technical issues and supporting emerging technologies.
  • Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to technicians, including scheduling work, evaluating performance, and supporting hiring initiatives.
  • Ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance standards are maintained while managing shop operations and maintaining accurate records.
  • Support operational efficiency by managing inventory, cost control, and maintenance documentation, and serve as acting lead during manager absences.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and SAP, with strong computer literacy
