Takco Construction is seeking a Foreman to lead field planning, coordination, and production of construction activities, with strong experience in heavy mass grading and underground utilities. The candidate will plan with the Superintendent, manage crew time sheets, monitor productivity, enforce QC, and lead daily huddles and toolbox talks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Foreman experience in sitework, grading and utilities.
• Experience in calculating and setting grades; operating and managing construction equipment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• Familiarity with industry best practices and construction project management processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and prioritize daily work with the Superintendent to meet objectives.
• Oversee time sheets for labor and equipment and ensure timely daily reports.

• Perform job hazard analyses before starting new activities.
• Collaborate with Superintendent to develop material handling plan to support workflow.
• Collect and submit delivery receipts for accurate record-keeping.

Job description

This is position that requires the candidate to be open to extensive travel.

The Foreman is responsible for the field planning, coordination, and production of all related construction activities, as directed by the Superintendent. Heavy mass grading and underground utilities experience. This role requires effective leadership, a focus on quality control, and a commitment to ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures, including reporting all accidents, incidents, and near misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value –Safety, first in everything we do.
• Plan, organize, and prioritize daily work activities in collaboration with the Superintendent to meet project objectives.
• Oversee and manage time sheets for labor and equipment, ensuring accurate and timely submission of daily reports with detailed quantities worked.
• Continuously review and monitor crew productivity, providing guidance and addressing performance to achieve daily goals.
• Enforce strict compliance with quality control standards and ensure adherence to company safety policies throughout all phases of the work.
• Monitor the project construction schedule, actively working to keep tasks on time and within scope.
• Lead daily team huddles, conduct stretching exercises, and facilitate weekly toolbox talks to maintain team focus and promote safety awareness.
• Perform detailed job hazard analysis before beginning new activities, identifying and mitigating risks to protect workers.
• Collaborate with the Superintendent to develop and implement an effective material handling plan to support the project workflow.
• Collect and ensure the timely submission of all delivery receipts to accurate record-keeping and reporting.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of5 years of experienceas a Foreman working in Sitework, Grading and utilities.
• Extensive knowledge of calculating and setting grades, as well as expertise in operating and managing construction equipment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Certified inOSHA 10standards.
• Familiarity with industry’s best practices and construction project management processes is

preferred.

• WILLING TO TRAVEL FOR EXTENSIVE AMOUNTS OF TIME IS MANDATORY.
