Job summary

Aceto Earthworks is seeking an experienced Foreman to lead our construction crew on multiple sites. You will supervise daily activities, plan schedules, and coordinate with project managers and suppliers to ensure projects stay on track and meet quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has proven Foreman experience, strong leadership, excellent communication, and thorough knowledge of site safety practices.

JOB DESCRIPTION: FOREMAN
Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Foreman to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, leadership skills, and hands-on experience in managing and directing a construction crew. The Foreman will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • - Supervise and lead a team of construction workers on various job sites.
  • - Plan and schedule construction activities, ensuring project milestones and deadlines are met.
  • - Communicate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • - Assign tasks to the crew members and monitor their progress, providing guidance and assistance as necessary.
  • - Inspect worksite to ensure construction meets specifications and quality standards.
  • - Enforce adherence to safety protocols and regulations, promoting a safe and productive work environment.
  • - Ensure construction crew members follow proper construction techniques, tools and equipment usage, and best practices.
  • - Collaborate with project managers to review project plans, estimates, and suggest modifications if needed.
  • - Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to arrange timely delivery of materials and equipment to the worksite.
  • - Resolve any construction-related issues or conflicts that may arise during the course of the project.
  • - Keep accurate records of construction activities, including progress reports, employee attendance, and materials usage.
  • - Train and mentor construction crew members, providing feedback and guidance to improve their skills and performance.
  • - Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and advancements to ensure construction practices are up-to-date.
  • - Contribute to the development and implementation of construction plans, policies, and procedures.
  • -Ability and willingness to be proficient in GPS technology.
Qualifications
  • - Proven experience as a Foreman Construction or similar role in the construction industry.
  • - In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and equipment.
  • - Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively supervise and motivate a construction crew.
  • - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to clearly convey instructions and expectations.
  • - Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • - Proficient in reading and interpreting construction blueprints, drawings, and plans.
  • - Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • - Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • - Solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices in construction.
  • - Ability to operate construction machinery and tools.
  • - Valid driver's license with clean record and no major infractions or accidents.
Education and Experience
  • - Experience in Construction Management or a related field is a plus.
  • - Proven experience as a Foreman or leadership in a similar role.
  • - Relevant certifications in construction, such as OSHA, are preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • - Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks on construction sites for extended periods.
  • - Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and materials.
  • - Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions.
