Job summary

Portland Glass is seeking a Foreman for the commercial team. You will lead safety programs, ensure correct procedures for architectural glazing installations, and coordinate with the Operations Manager to set performance expectations. You will inspect deliveries, schedule workflows, and manage on-site operations across multiple locations.

The role requires 3 years of glass industry experience, strong leadership, and a valid driver's license. A comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all employees adhere to safety standards and conduct regular safety meetings.
• Oversee safe installation meeting architectural specifications for commercial glass systems.
• Collaborate with Operations Manager to set quality/quantity expectations and coach team members.
• Check site deliveries for fabrication accuracy and condition.
• Schedule workflow to meet project requirements and manage onsite materials.
• Travel between nearby locations to ensure job site efficiency.

As a Foreman on the Portland Glass commercial team, a typical day for you will include:

• Ensuring all employees adhere to Portland Glass safety standards and conducting regular safety meetings/inspecting PPE
• Overseeing that correct procedures are used to ensure safe installation that meets the architectural specifications for commercial glass systems and replacements
• Working with Operations Manager to set work quality and quantity expectations for team members, coaching them on how to meet expectations, recognizing success and implementing corrective measures as needed
• Checking site deliveries to confirm they were fabricated properly, are complete, and not damaged
• Scheduling workflow to meet project requirements and conducting onsite management of materials waiting to be installed
• Travelling between nearby locations to ensure job site efficiency

• Ability to pass a background check and drug test, per applicable state laws

• Physical requirements: Must be able to lift minimum of 75 pounds
