Davey Utility Line Clearance, a division of The Davey Tree Expert Company, seeks a Foreman to supervise crews performing utility line clearance and tree trimming for major electric providers. You will direct equipment and personnel, plan tasks, and ensure safety during operations.

Requirements include a valid driver's license, extensive line clearance/trimming experience, and relevant licenses. Position is on-site in South Hadley, MA with benefits and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Must have electric utility tree trimming/climbing experience.
• Licenses and certifications listed may be required depending on state laws.

Responsabilités

• Provide crew supervision and oversee line clearance and tree trimming for utilities.
• Direct crew and equipment; plan and execute assigned work tasks.
• Oversee maintenance and operation of tools including chainsaws, chippers, and lifts.
• Work as part of a crew with Groundmen and Trimmer/Climber; ensure safety.

Position Overview

Davey Utility Line Clearance, a division of The Davey Tree Expert Company, is pleased to offer a key opportunity in the field of Utility Line Clearance as a Foreman | Foreperson.

Job Duties

• Provides crew supervision and line clearing and tree trimming services for major electric utility providers
• Services provided include pruning treetops, repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal as well as removing broken limbs from wires, roofs, and other objects
• Directs crew members and equipment as well as planning and executing the assigned work and tasks
• Responsible to supervise and assist in the proper maintenance, preparation and operation of all tools and equipment including hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts
• Operates as part of a crew with supporting Groundmen and Trimmer/Climber
• Ability to perform all above mentioned functions

Qualifications

• This is a new contract that will start on 1/1/27
• Candidate must live within 30 minutes of South Hadley, MA
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Driver’s license required. Commercial driver’s license preferred but not required
• Certificates and Licenses if necessary
• Pesticide license, if required by state law
• Herbicide license a plus
• Line clearance certification if working near utility transmission lines
• ISA Certified Tree Worker certification or willingness to obtain
• REQUIRED: Electric utility tree trimming/climbing experience
