The Davey Tree Expert Co. in Richmond, VA, is seeking a Foreman/Foreperson for its Utility Line Clearance division.

This on-site role leads a crew in pruning treetops and trimming trees near electric utilities, coordinating tasks and ensuring safe, compliant work practices. The ideal candidate has extensive electric utility tree trimming/climbing experience, a valid driver’s license, and relevant licenses or certifications as needed by state law.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Driver’s license required; commercial license preferred but not required.
• Pesticide license, if required by state law.
• Herbicide license a plus.
• Line clearance certification if working near utility transmission lines.
• ISA Certified Tree Worker certification or willingness to obtain.
• REQUIRED: Electric utility tree trimming/climbing experience.

Responsabilidades

• Provides crew supervision and line clearing and tree trimming services for major electric utility providers.
• Prunes treetops and removes damaged trees as well as removing broken limbs near wires and structures.
• Directs crew members and equipment, planning and executing assigned work.
• Supervises tool and equipment maintenance and operation including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
• Operates as part of a crew with Groundmen and Trimmer/Climber.
• Performs all listed functions as required.

Position Overview

Davey Utility Line Clearance, a division of The Davey Tree Expert Company, is pleased to offer a key opportunity in the field of Utility Line Clearance as a Foreman | Foreperson.

Job Duties

• Provides crew supervision and line clearing and tree trimming services for major electric utility providers
• Services provided include pruning treetops, repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal as well as removing broken limbs from wires, roofs, and other objects
• Directs crew members and equipment as well as planning and executing the assigned work and tasks
• Responsible to supervise and assist in the proper maintenance, preparation and operation of all tools and equipment including hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts
• Operates as part of a crew with supporting Groundmen and Trimmer/Climber
• Ability to perform all above mentioned functions
