Job summary

NU-YAR Construction is seeking a Foreman to lead residential projects across Southern Maine, with duties centered at our Gray, ME office and site locations.

Requirements include 10+ years in residential construction, OSHA30 and RRP certification, and proven carpentry skills. You will schedule work, supervise crews, read blueprints, and coordinate material deliveries while maintaining client communications and safety adherence.

Qualifications

  • OSHA30 and RRP certified.
  • Diverse construction background with knowledge of all aspects of the trade.
  • Ability to work independently and lift 100 pounds.
  • Demonstrated carpentry skills with proven experience.

Responsibilities

  • Envision the finished project and develop a schedule to keep it on track, on time, and on budget.
  • Take the lead role on assigned projects.
  • Read and study the blueprints, lay out the project and assign crew members their roles.
  • Attend pre-construction meetings.
  • Perform site assessments.
  • Create material lists, order materials, and coordinate material deliveries.
  • Coordinate subcontractors.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to provide project updates, discuss financial matters, and address any concerns promptly.
  • Create Additional Work Authorizations as needed.
  • Proactively schedule all project details and anticipate future needs.
  • Give direction and training to carpenters, apprentice carpenters, and laborers.
  • Order and purchase all equipment rentals, supplies, and tools with approval from management.
  • Adhere to all NU-YAR Construction safety policies, ensure safety meetings are held weekly, and enforce all policies with crew members.

Job description

NU-YAR Construction is seeking a Foreman to work at their residential client locations throughout Southern Maine and out of their Gray, ME office.

Requirements of the Foreman:
  • 10+ years of construction experience with a strong residential Construction Management background.
  • OSHA30 and RRP certified.
  • Diverse construction industry background with knowledge of all aspects of the trade.
  • Ability to work independently and lift 100 pounds.
  • Demonstrated carpentry skills with proven experience.
Benefits of the Job:
  • Annual salary range of $90-$120k depending upon experience
