Job summary

NU-YAR Construction is seeking a Foreman to manage projects across Southern Maine and at the Gray, ME office. The role requires a strong construction management background, OSHA30 and RRP certifications, blueprint literacy, and carpentry skills.

You will lead crews, review blueprints, schedule work, source materials, and coordinate subs while ensuring safety and client communication. The position offers a competitive salary in the $90k–$120k range, PTO, holidays, full health benefits after 90

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction experience with a strong Construction Management background.
• OSHA30 and RRP certified.
• Blueprint literacy.
• Diverse construction industry background with knowledge of all aspects of the trade.
• Ability to work independently and lift 100 pounds.
• Demonstrated carpentry skills with proven experience.

Responsibilities

• Envision the finished project and develop a schedule to keep it on track, on time, and on budget.
• Take the lead role on assigned projects.
• Read and study the blueprints, lay out the project and assign crew members their roles.
• Attend pre-construction meetings.
• Perform site assessments.
• Create material lists, order materials, and coordinate material deliveries.
• Coordinate subcontractors.
• Maintain regular communication with clients to provide project updates, discuss financial matters, and address any concerns promptly.
• Create Additional Work Authorizations as needed.
• Proactively schedule all project details and anticipate future needs.
• Give direction and training to carpenters, apprentice carpenters, and laborers.
• Order and purchase all equipment rentals, supplies, and tools with approval from management.
• Adhere to NU-YAR Construction safety policies, ensure safety meetings are held weekly, and enforce all policies with crew members.
