Job summary

M&T Bank is seeking an experienced professional to oversee the foreclosure process for loans assigned to the team, ensuring alignment with investor guidelines and regulatory requirements. The role acts as a subject matter expert and handles escalated issues while managing a portfolio involved in complex litigation.

You will perform high-risk administrative functions related to foreclosure, coordinate with attorneys, and provide procedural updates for investor and regulatory meetings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ Default Servicing related field experience (e.g., Collections, REO, Loss Mitigation).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented and analytical.

Responsibilities

• Monitor progress of foreclosures through queues and reporting and ensure compliance with guidelines.
• Serve as primary escalation contact for associates and attorneys.
• Ensure FHA 1st legal deadlines are met and track extensions.
• Research and validate loans on foreclosure exception reports.
• Approve additional attorney fees beyond associate level and track legal expenses.
