The role supports high-volume foreclosure files, coordinates service of process, prepares documents, and communicates with process servers, courts, and opposing parties to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience as a legal assistant or in foreclosure/default servicing.
• High school diploma required; associate degree or paralegal certificate is a plus.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and legal case management software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and track summonses, complaints, and service of process documents in accordance with Ohio foreclosure rules and timelines.
• Review service returns, affidavits, and proof of service for accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate with local process servers, sheriffs' offices, and county courts to resolve service issues.
• Update and maintain internal case management and client databases with accurate status notes.
• Coordinate incoming and outgoing service mail, notices, and publication requirements.
• Assist attorneys with general file maintenance and administrative tasks.
• Prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical files.
