Job summary

Marriott Vacations Worldwide seeks a Loan Default Specialist to prepare, review, and provide supporting documentation for foreclosure, deed in lieu of foreclosure, or bankruptcy processes. Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in legal, foreclosure, bankruptcy or financial services.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Excel preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly with vendors and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare foreclosure, deed in lieu of foreclosure, or bankruptcy documents for external vendor hand-off.
• Review for completeness and accuracy of related documents in foreclosure, deed in lieu of foreclosure, or bankruptcy.
• Prepare and review affidavits prior to hearings.
• Review bidding instructions for foreclosure sales.
• Review title searches.
• Prepare deed paperwork in line with statutory requirements.
• Review completed deeds to ensure proper completion and closure.
• Review completed bankruptcy matters to ensure proper completion.
• Transfer reacquired units and update inventory in systems.
• Determine correct First Fiscal Year and First Year Occupancy upon reacquisition.
• Provide financial information to customers, legal vendors, or internal departments on request.
• Review and monitor external legal vendor reports and update internal systems.
• Maintain filing and organization systems for records and reports.
• Communicate with teammates and management professionally.
• Promote teamwork and cross-department collaboration.
• Develop positive working relationships with other employees and departments.
• Support coworkers with respect.
• Prepare and review written documents (logs, letters, reports, SOPs) with accuracy.
• Complete yearly goals and participate in cross-training.
