Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the West Virginia State Bar.
• Foreclosure, real estate, civil litigation, bankruptcy, or mortgage-servicing experience preferred.
• Strong research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage and prioritize a high-volume caseload.
• Strong written and verbal communication with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and internal teams.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Commitment to providing high-quality legal work and client service.

Responsibilities

• Manage foreclosure matters from referral through resolution, including contested proceedings.
• Prepare, review, and approve pleadings, motions, affidavits, orders, notices, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, depositions, conferences, and other legal proceedings.
• Analyze case files, title information, loan documents, and supporting records to identify issues and determine next steps.
• Provide legal guidance regarding foreclosure processes, compliance with state and federal law.
• Maintain responsibility for a high-volume caseload with deadlines and client expectations.
• Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status, strategy, and recommended action.
• Work with Firm staff and operational teams to resolve file-level issues and promote timely progression.
• Identify and elevate potential legal, procedural, or compliance concerns.
• Maintain accurate updates in firm and client case-management systems.
• Participate in client meetings, training, and firm initiatives.
• Perform other duties and legal assignments as required.
