Brock & Scott, PLLC seeks an Associate Attorney licensed in West Virginia to join our growing legal team. This role focuses on foreclosure and creditors’ rights matters with a commitment to high-quality legal representation and responsive client service.

The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and able to independently move matters forward while collaborating with attorneys, clients, courts, and internal partners.

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney in West Virginia.
• Experience handling foreclosure and creditors’ rights matters.
• Strong written and oral advocacy and research skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage foreclosure matters from referral through resolution, including contested and uncontested proceedings.
• Prepare, review, and approve pleadings, motions, affidavits, orders, notices, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, depositions, conferences, and other legal proceedings.
• Analyze case files, title information, loan documents, and supporting records to identify legal issues and determine next steps.
• Provide legal guidance regarding foreclosure processes, procedural requirements, and applicable law.
• Maintain responsibility for a high-volume caseload and meet deadlines and client expectations.
• Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status and strategy.
• Collaborate with Firm staff and partners to resolve file-level issues and promote timely progression.
• Identify potential concerns and elevate matters appropriately.
• Maintain updates in case-management systems.
• Participate in client meetings, training sessions, and Firm initiatives.
