Brock & Scott, PLLC is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney licensed in West Virginia to join our growing legal team. This position is responsible for handling foreclosure and creditors’ rights matters on behalf of the Firm’s clients while providing high-quality legal representation, responsive client service, and effective case management.
The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, comfortable managing a high-volume caseload, and able to independently move matters forward while working collaboratively with attorneys, clients, courts, and internal business partners.
We are looking for an attorney who takes ownership of their work, communicates effectively, and approaches each matter with professionalism, sound judgment, and attention to detail. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team focused on delivering timely, accurate, and effective legal solutions for our clients.
Brock & Scott, PLLC offers an attractive benefit package to full-time employees on the 1st of the following month of hire. The insurance portion includes medical, dental, voluntary life, voluntary vision, and critical illness, all at competitive rates. At the 90-day introductory period, the Firm also provides a basic life insurance policy in the amount of one time your annual salary (with a minimum of $25,000 and a maximum of $200,000.00) at no cost.
Full-time attorneys receive paid holidays, including six (6) firm-recognized holidays and one (1) Day of Observance, as well as a premium PTO package of 18 days per year. PTO accrues monthly and is credited on the 15th of each month, in accordance with firm policy. PTO benefits increase after 2 years of employment and again after 5 years of employment. After six months of service, employees over the age of 21 become eligible to participate in the firm's 401(k) plan at the beginning of the next quarter.
Employment with Brock & Scott, PLLC is contingent upon the successful completion of all required pre-employment screenings and verifications, which may include, but are not limited to, a criminal background check, conflict of interest check, employment and education verification (as applicable), and a pre-employment drug screening. Drug testing is conducted only after a conditional offer of employment has been extended and in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
