Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, depositions, conferences, and other legal proceedings.
  • Analyze case files, title information, loan documents, and supporting records to identify issues and determine next steps.

  • Maintain responsibility for a high-volume caseload with deadlines and client expectations.
  • Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status, strategy, and recommended action.
  • Work with Firm staff and operational teams to resolve file-level issues and promote timely progression.
  • Identify and elevate potential legal, procedural, or compliance concerns.
  • Maintain accurate updates in firm and client case-management systems.
  • Participate in client meetings, training, and firm initiatives.
  • Perform other duties and legal assignments as required.

  • Prepare, review, and approve pleadings, motions, affidavits, orders, notices, and other legal documents.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, depositions, conferences, and other legal proceedings as required.

  • Maintain responsibility for a high-volume caseload while ensuring deadlines, court requirements, and client expectations are met.

  • Work closely with Firm staff and operational teams to resolve file-level issues and promote timely case progression.
  • Identify potential legal, procedural, or compliance concerns and elevate matters appropriately.

Benefits Detail:

Brock & Scott, PLLC offers an attractive benefit package to full-time employees on the 1st of the following month of hire.

  • The insurance portion includes medical, dental, voluntary life, voluntary vision, and critical illness, all at competitive rates.
  • At the 90-day introductory period, the Firm also provides a basic life insurance policy in the amount of one time your annual salary (with a minimum of $25,000 and a maximum of $200,000.00) at no cost.
  • Full-time attorneys receive paid holidays, including six (6) firm-recognized holidays and one (1) Day of Observance, as well as a premium PTO package of 18 days per year.
  • PTO accrues monthly and is credited on the 15th of each month, in accordance with firm policy.
  • PTO benefits increase after 2 years of employment and again after 5 years of employment.
  • After six months of service, employees over the age of 21 become eligible to participate in the firm's 401(k) plan at the beginning of the next quarter.
Pre-Employment Requirements:

Employment with Brock & Scott, PLLC is contingent upon the successful completion of all required pre-employment screenings and verifications, which may include, but are not limited to, a criminal background check, conflict of interest check, employment and education verification (as applicable), and a pre-employment drug screening. Drug testing is conducted only after a conditional offer of employment has been extended and in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
