Job summary

Brock & Scott, PLLC is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney licensed in West Virginia to join our growing legal team. This role focuses on foreclosure and creditors’ rights matters, delivering high-quality legal representation and responsive client service while managing a demanding caseload.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to move matters forward independently while collaborating with attorneys, clients, courts, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the West Virginia State Bar is required.
• Foreclosure, creditors’ rights, real estate, civil litigation, bankruptcy, or mortgage-servicing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage foreclosure matters from referral through resolution, including contested and uncontested proceedings.
• Prepare, review, and approve pleadings, motions, affidavits, orders, notices, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, depositions, conferences, and other legal proceedings as required.
• Analyze case files, title information, loan documents, and supporting records to identify issues and determine next steps.
• Provide legal guidance regarding foreclosure processes, compliance concerns, and applicable law.
