Job summary

State of Oregon (DCBS) seeks a Forecasting Analyst (Research Analyst 4) to lead major research studies, including actuarial and financial analyses and econometric forecasting. You will design and implement advanced forecasting methods and prepare interpretable reports for agency leadership.

This role offers telework on a part-time basis after gaining proficiency, with regular in-office hours. The salary range $6,276–$9,644 per month, plus a COLA adjustment effective Jan 1, 2027.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with six-quarter units in statistics or quantitative methods and 3 years of data analysis experience.
• Five years of research experience with data collection, analysis, and reporting, with at least 2 years coordinating complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead major research studies including actuarial and financial analyses and econometric forecasting.
• Design, implement and evaluate complex research methodologies and forecasting techniques.
• Analyze data and prepare interpretative statistical reports for agency leadership.
