Job summary

The Oregon Department of Consumer & Business Services seeks an experienced Forecasting Analyst to lead major research studies, including actuarial and financial analyses and econometric forecasting. You will design, implement and evaluate complex forecasting methodologies and apply advanced analytical techniques, then interpret reports for agency leadership.

The role requires strong data analysis, government finance insight, and clear communication with diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline with six-quarter units in statistics or quantitative analysis and three years of data analysis experience.
• Or five years of research experience with data analysis and coordination of complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead major research studies including actuarial and financial analyses and econometric forecasting.
• Design, implement, and evaluate forecasting methodologies and apply advanced analytical concepts.
• Analyze data and prepare interpretative statistical reports for agency leadership.
