Job summary

Ricart Automotive is seeking an Hourly QuickLane Service Advisor in Columbus, OH to greet customers, review service needs, and generate repair orders. You will dispatch work to technicians, develop estimates, and handle payments and warranties with a focus on excellent customer service.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is needed in a fast-paced automotive service environment at Ricart Automotive.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• High school education or equivalent.
• Manual transmission experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent oral communication skills.
• Experience with cashier/credit card systems preferred but not required.
• Must be able to stand for long periods.
• Schedule flexibility to work nights and weekends.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to manage relationships across all channels and levels.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in the drive and review daily appointment schedules.
• Identify issues from appointment reason and questions.
• Generate repair orders for customers and dispatch to technicians.
• Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor.
• Calculate customer payments, including deductibles.
• Verify warranty and service contract coverage from documents.
• Arrange towing and temporary transportation as needed.
• Handle incoming calls to address concerns and set future appointments.
• Provide status updates to customers and follow up as needed.
• Take on additional training or responsibilities as directed by Service Manager.

What We Need From You- Job Duties and Requirements:

• Review daily appointment schedules and be prepared to greet customers in the drive with knowledge of their appointment
• Review primary appointment reason with the customer and ask customer questions to identify any other issues their vehicle may be experiencing
• Generate repair orders for customers
• Dispatch the job to the properly trained technician
• Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor
• Calculate customer’s payment; including deductibles
• Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining documents and records
• Arrange towing and temporary transportation for the customer
• Answer incoming calls from customers to address concerns and set appointments for future service needs
• Make outgoing calls to customers to update them on the status of their vehicle in service.
• Any additional training or responsibilities as deemed necessary by Service Manager

Qualifications/Essential Job Functions:
