Job summary

New Balance in Draper, UT is seeking a friendly Retail Sales Associate to provide exceptional customer service and expert product knowledge. You will engage customers, understand their needs, answer questions and help complete the sale with effective upselling.

Additional duties include keeping the floor neat, promoting current promotions, and assisting with fitting customers for footwear. Prior retail experience is helpful; however, enthusiasm and teamwork are key to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Strong customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to flourish in a team environment.
• Familiarity with cash register functions.
• Ability to quickly perform basic math.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance, stand long hours, and navigate stairs/ ladders.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service using proper selling techniques and product knowledge.
• Understand customer needs and educate on product features and benefits.
• Solve customer problems and answer questions.
• Assist in closing sales through suggestive selling and upselling.
• Measure and fit customers with appropriate NB products.
• Inform customers about promotions and ensure shelves are well stocked.
