Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking an Assistant Store Manager – Sales (Footwear & Apparel) to lead the footwear and apparel teams, coaching staff to deliver expert service and product knowledge, while driving performance and customer satisfaction.

In this role you will partner with the Store Manager to plan staffing, training, and store operations, ensuring engaging experiences for athletes of all abilities and upholding brand standards.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of retail management experience (or customer-focused experience) required.
• Experience coaching and developing a team to deliver elevated customer service.
• Ability to manage store operations, scheduling, and merchandising standards.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop annual business growth plans and forecasting.
• Directly manage a team of supervisors and coach them to lead a high-performing staff.
• Oversee staffing, payroll alignment with budget, and scheduling based on athlete traffic.
• Hire and build strong teams, making hiring decisions for supervisory roles and guiding interviews.
• Ensure store safety, policy compliance, and exceptional athlete experiences.
