Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking an Assistant Store Manager - Sales (Footwear & Apparel) to lead sales and athlete engagement by coaching teams to deliver expert service and product knowledge. You will drive performance through strong leadership and a focus on helping athletes find the right products for performance and everyday needs.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent.
1–3 years of experience in retail or customer-focused roles.
1–3 years of retail management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Collaborates with the Store Manager to develop and execute annual business growth plans and forecasts.
Directly manages Captains and guides the store team through coaching, development, and performance reviews.
Upholds merchandising, signage, pricing, inventory presentation, and customer programs.
Leads training initiatives and develops leadership within the team.
Partners with Store Manager on staffing, payroll, and scheduling within budget.
Hires and builds strong teams; makes hiring and termination decisions for hourly staff.
Ensures safety, policies, and exceptional athlete experiences.
