Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking an Assistant Store Manager – Sales (Footwear & Apparel) to lead sales and athlete engagement within Footwear and Apparel, coaching teams to deliver expert service and product knowledge. You will drive performance through strong leadership and a focus on helping athletes find the right products for performance and everyday needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 1–3 years of experience
• 1–3 years of retail management or customer-focused experience

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Store Manager on annual business growth plans and forecasting.
• Directly manages a team of Captains and coaches broader store team.
• Maintains merchandising standards and executes floor sets and promotions.
• Leads training initiatives and develops team with coaching and stretch assignments.
• Oversees staffing, scheduling and payroll to meet budget goals.
• Hires and builds teams via targeted recruiting and interviewing.
• Ensures safety, policy compliance and a welcoming store environment.
