Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking an Assistant Store Manager - Sales (Footwear & Apparel) to lead a high-performing team and deliver exceptional athlete experiences on the sales floor.

You will coach a Captain (Supervisor) team, drive merchandising standards, manage staffing and payroll, and collaborate with the Store Manager to deliver growth plans and strategic initiatives across Footwear and Apparel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of retail management experience.
• 1-3 years of customer-focused experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the Store Manager to develop and execute annual growth plans and forecasts for 90+ days out.
• Directly manages Captains (Supervisors) and coaches the broader store team to achieve performance goals.
• Upholds merchandising and presentation standards and drives customer service and loyalty initiatives.
• Leads training initiatives, coaching, and development plans for the leadership team.
• Oversees staffing, payroll, and scheduling to align with budget goals and traffic patterns.
