Job summary

Sysco is seeking an experienced Sales Professional and hospitality operations expert for an outside sales role in Houston. You will build relationships with new and existing accounts to promote Sysco products and services, with some non-traditional hours required to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities include growing the customer base, assessing market needs, and delivering training and product information to client personnel while coordinating deliveries and collections as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related discipline OR HSD/GED with 3 years Restaurant Management or B2B/outside sales experience.
• Experience in foodservice sales preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business, penetrate existing accounts, and minimize lost business to achieve profitable sales growth within territory.
• Seek and qualify prospects following account stratification goals.
• Research customer business needs and develop a mix of products and services to meet needs.
• Evaluate market trends and recommend products to customers based on business needs.
• Be informed of market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales; share information with customers as part of value-added services.
