Job summary

General Mills is seeking a Customer Account Specialist for the DFW Metro area to accelerate sales of our foodservice ingredient products. You will manage relationships with operators and manufacturers, leverage Salesforce for opportunity tracking, and collaborate with the Sr.

Account Executive to grow our footprint in key channels. The role emphasizes selling a portfolio including flour, bakery mixes, and frozen items, with local travel and potential overnight stays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and win as part of a team.
• Self-motivated and disciplined with ability to maintain workload from a remote office.
• 2+ years of industry experience (preferred).
• Local knowledge of the market (preferred).
• Foodservice industry experience (preferred).
• Flour and bakery experience (preferred).
• Culinary experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Sustain existing business and drive new, incremental sales volume.
• Sell General Mills products to foodservice customers in focus channels across your assigned territory to grow volume.
• Collaborate with Sr. Account Executive and FSI peers to create operator demand for new items through distributors.
• Leverage Salesforce and data to identify opportunities and plan sales calls.
• Develop a strategic call pattern with minimum 16 in-person calls per week.
• Demonstrate product knowledge via samples and on-site baking.
• Support distributor events such as Industry Expos and Distributor Meetings.
