Job summary

General Mills in the Dallas area is seeking a Customer Account Specialist to accelerate foodservice ingredient sales across the DFW Metro. You will manage relationships with operators and manufacturers, use Salesforce, and partner with distributors to grow volume.

This role emphasizes an entrepreneurial mindset, ownership of the territory, and strong collaboration with the Sr. Account Executive. Travel may be required to support events and customer visits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong interpersonal, communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and win as part of a team.
• Self-motivated and disciplined with ability to work from a remote office.

Responsibilities

• Sustain existing business and drive new, incremental sales volume in the DFW metro.
• Sell General Mills products to foodservice customers across focus channels in the territory.
• Collaborate with Sr. Account Executive and peers to create operator demand through distributors.
• Leverage Salesforce, data tools and sites to inform opportunities and plan calls.
• Complete 16 in‑person sales calls per week and 72‑opportunity targets per half year.
• Develop a strategic call pattern to maximize coverage and achieve volume growth.
• Support distributor events, trade shows and meetings to drive growth.
