Job summary

Der Dutchman Restaurant Plain City is seeking a capable food service supervisor to lead daily operations on the food truck. You will plan, staff, and manage records, inventory, and finances while ensuring exceptional guest experiences.

The role requires at least 1 year in a culinary setting, understanding of food safety, and the ability to adapt to a flexible schedule, including weekends and some evenings. MS Office/Excel proficiency is expected; ServSafe is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in the culinary field or kitchen operations.
• Food safety knowledge; ServSafe certification is a plus.
• Proven ability to deliver exceptional service to customers and team members.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings.
• Experience with determining food and labor costs and maintaining margins.
• Working knowledge of MS Office and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the food truck.
• Plan for daily operations and staffing.
• Maintain required records, inventory, and income/expense tracking.
• Ensure staff follow proper sanitation procedures and safety standards.
• Respond to customer preferences and complaints.
• Hire, train, and develop employees.
• Deliver orders to customers and manage on-site service.
• Direct the cleaning of the truck and commercial kitchen.
• Book events for the food truck and maintain permits.

What you’ll be doing

• Oversee the day-to-day operations on the food truck.
• Plan for daily operations.
• Maintain required records, inventory, and income/expense.
• Ensure food truck staff members follow proper sanitation procedures.
• Ensure safety standards are maintained while food is being served.
• Respond to customer preferences and complaints.
• Maintain equipment including refrigerator, and prep table and cookware.
• Ensure customer dining experience is satisfactory.
• Expedite food.
• Hire and train employees.
• Deliver orders to appropriate customers.
• Direct the cleaning of the truck and commercial kitchen.
• Social Media posts/ responding.
• Booking events for the food truck.
• Apply and maintain all required permits for the food truck.

Skills you’ll bring along
