Job summary

SGS is seeking a Subject Matter Expert for SGS Food Testing Service, North American Operations. The role focuses on quality management, ISO/IEC 17025 compliance, method validations, and instrumentation troubleshooting within a leading global testing, inspection and certification company.

The SME will contribute to staff training, QA monitoring, data evaluation, and support for proficiency testing and client audits across the North American network.

Qualifications

• Experience validating and verifying methods per ISO/IEC 17025
• ISO/IEC 17025 knowledge and QC experience preferred
• High-end instrumentation background (HPLC, GC, ICP, MS) required

Responsibilities

• Participate in establishment or improvement of methods via validations, verifications and transfers per ISO/IEC 17025
• Prepare technical templates for protocols and procedures
• Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting as SME
• Train and develop technical staff on quality policies and procedures
• Monitor internal QC and PT performance for biases in local lab
• Prepare data evaluation for client complaints, audit findings and QC issues
• May back up in designated areas as directed by Site or Technical Director
• Support network-related projects as assigned by Site or Technical Director
