Job summary

SGS is seeking a qualified professional to oversee technical aspects of ISO/IEC 17025 compliant laboratories in North America. The role emphasizes method validation, verification and transfer, data analysis, and proficient use of QC and PT/RR processes.

The candidate will work with lab leadership to improve capabilities, train staff, and ensure timely delivery while meeting Quality System requirements. Travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum BSc degree (or equivalent).
• Experience validating and verifying analytical methods.
• Experience with statistical evaluation.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements preferred.
• Proficiency with common software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor technical aspects of ISO/IEC 17025 compliant lab operations.
• Lead method validation, verification and transfer activities.
• Review and approve validation/verification/transfer studies.
• Support corrective actions and verify effectiveness.
• Coordinate audits and respond to data non-conformances.
• Assist in training staff on quality policies and procedures.
• Monitor QC and PT/RR performance and trends.
