Job summary

The Wyoming Department of Corrections invites applications for a Food Services Supervisor at WMCI. You will oversee inmate workers and staff, manage food preparation, maintenance, safety, and sanitation, and train inmates in job skills for re-entry into the community.

Responsibilities include menu planning, diet accommodations, and ensuring USDA nutritional guidelines are met, along with enforcing policies and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of progressive work experience in Food Services, typically at the level of a Food Services Specialist.
• Two years supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience working in a correctional facility is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Train and supervise a staff of Food Service Specialists on large-scale food production.
• Schedule food service staff and direct subordinate workers.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Assist with menu and recipe development, including dietary needs.
• Analyze recipes/menus to meet USDA nutrition guidelines.
• Develop and maintain institutional food service policies and procedures.
