Qualifications

• 2-4 years of progressive work experience in food services with knowledge at the level of a Food Services Assistant.
• Associate's Degree (typically in Culinary Arts) with 0-1 year of progressive work experience in Food Services.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate, prepare, and supervise the preparation of food for meals within the menu, dietary requirements, and sanitation standards.
• Train workers in safety and sanitation.
• Prepare religious and medically necessary diets and substitutions as needed.
• Direct the portioning and serving of all meals.
• Oversee the distribution of bulk food and pre-plated meals.
• Ensure health guidelines are met in daily food prep.
• Manage inventory and review items daily.
• Complete daily inventories of knives, controlled food items, and tools.
• Observe and record food, refrigerator, and freezer temperatures.
