Job summary

Fresno Economic Opportunities Commission seeks a Food Services Manager to lead the Fresno County Jail and Juvenile Justice Campus foodservice contract. You will supervise staff, manage menus, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and coordinate with County personnel to deliver nutritious meals seven days a week.

The ideal candidate has a four-year background in correctional foodservice management, a valid Food Protection Manager certification, and strong budgeting and reporting

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in foodservice management, business admin, hospitality, nutrition or related field preferred.
• At least four years of foodservice management experience in correctional facilities.
• Possess and maintain a valid Food Protection Manager certification; background and facility security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff, interns and volunteers; recruitment and performance management.
• Liaise with County for notices, billing, invoices and daily contract administration.
• Direct high-volume meal preparation, portioning, holding, delivery and special meals.
• Oversee menus, recipes, nutrition analysis and documentation with County approval for changes.
• Develop budgets, purchasing, food and labor costs, staffing plans and reporting.
