Job summary

HCA Florida Largo Hospital is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to support daily meal preparation and service in our patient and visitor dining areas. You will wash, prep, portion and present meals following safety standards and menu directives, helping maintain a clean, efficient kitchen and patient tray assembly.

Responsibilities

• You will perform routine duties related to preparation and serving of food.
• You will prepare food for cooking by washing, peeling, shredding, slicing, and mixing various food items.
• You will operate dishwasher or assist with washing/sterilizing dishes, glassware, silverware, utensils, pots, pans, etc.
• You will clean kitchen work areas, collect and dispose of garbage.
• You will assist with food stocking.
• You will serve food in cafeteria for visitors and staff and in patient room.
• You will work in the dish room when needed.
• You will work on patient tray assembly line following menu directives for determining food items for each tray.
• You will follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
