HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital is hiring a Food Service Assistant to support patient and visitor meal service. You will prepare and serve food, wash dishes, stock supplies, and assist with patient tray assembly under menu directives. No travel required and no prior experience required.

Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

• You will perform routine duties related to preparation and serving of food.
• You will prepare food for cooking by washing, peeling, shredding, slicing, and mixing various food items.
• You will operate dishwasher or assist with washing/sterilizing dishes, glassware, silverware, utensils, pots, pans, etc.
• You will clean kitchen work areas, collect and dispose of garbage.
• You will assist with food stocking.
• You will serve food in cafeteria for visitors and staff and in patient room.
• You will work in the dish room when needed.
• You will work on patient tray assembly line following menu directives for determining food items for each tray.
• You will follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
