Job summary

Saint Luke’s East in Lee's Summit is seeking a PRN food service worker to deliver excellent customer service to patients and families while supporting our nutrition team. You will help ensure patients receive the nutrition they need for healing and comfort, contributing to Saint Luke’s mission to be The Best Place to Get Care and The Best Place to Give Care.

The role includes preparing and serving meals, maintaining sanitation and inventory, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year experience in food service or related roles.
• Food Handlers Permit - Various

Responsibilities

• Handling, preparing, and serving food according to menu and sanitation regulations.
• Preparing cafeteria food service and delivering to customers
• Restocking cafeteria supplies
• Maintaining sanitation of work areas, dishes and equipment
• Maintaining inventory control, product rotation and labeling
• Assisting in cashier and dishwasher duties as needed

The Opportunity :

Saint Luke’s East in Lee's Summit is currently looking for a PRN food service worker to quickly and efficiently provide excellent customer service to our patients and their families. As a member of our nutrition team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our patients receive the nutrition they need for their healing. Our priority is patient care in all aspects, the interaction you have with patients provides you the opportunity to bring something positive to their day to ensure that Saint Luke’s is The Best Place to Get Care. The Best Place to Give Care.

The Shift:

• 2:00 to 8:00 PM
• Weekends required

The Work :

• Handling, preparing, and serving food in accordance with written menu and sanitation regulations.
• Preparing of cafeteria food service and delivery of food to customers
• Restocking of cafeteria supplies
• Maintaining sanitation of work areas dishes and equipment.
• Maintaining inventory control, product rotation, labeling, and safe food handling practices to assure continued availability to customers.
• Assisting in other Cashier and Dishwasher responsibilities as necessary.
