Job summary

Saint Luke’s East in Lee's Summit is seeking a full-time food service worker to provide excellent patient and family service. As part of the nutrition team, you will handle food preparation, service, and sanitation to support healing and care.

The role requires evening shifts 11:00 AM–7:30 PM with weekends required; you’ll work on-site at Saint Luke’s Health System, with opportunities to grow within the health system.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of experience in food service.
• Food handlers permit - varying certifications.

Responsibilities

• Handle, prepare, and serve food according to menu and sanitation standards.
• Prepare cafeteria food service and deliver food to customers.
• Restock cafeteria supplies.
• Maintain sanitation of work areas, dishes, and equipment.
• Maintain inventory control, product rotation, labeling, and safe food handling.
• Assist in cashier and dishwasher tasks as needed.

The Opportunity

Saint Luke’s East in Lee's Summit is currently looking for a full time food service worker to quickly and efficiently provide excellent customer service to our patients and their families. As a member of our nutrition team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our patients receive the nutrition they need for their healing. The Shift

11:00 AM to 7:30 PM Weekends required

The Work

• Handling, preparing, and serving food in accordance with written menu and sanitation regulations.
• Preparing of cafeteria food service and delivery of food to customers.
• Restocking of cafeteria supplies.
• Maintaining sanitation of work areas dishes and equipment.
• Maintaining inventory control, product rotation, labeling, and safe food handling practices to assure continued availability to customers.
• Assisting in other Cashier and Dishwasher responsibilities as necessary.
