Job summary

Johnsburg Elementary School in Johnsburg, IL is seeking a part-time Food Service Worker to join the district's Food Service Department. The position supports school meals during days when students are present, with a 172-day schedule and hourly pay around $15.00.

Johnsburg School District #12 is currently seeking qualified individuals to fill a vacancy in the Food Service Department.

REPORTS TO:

Food Service Manager and Director

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Work Year: School days when children are present

• 172 Days
• $15.0x/hour

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education and/or experience in Food Service a plus
• Knowledge of and ability to use Food Service machines, appliances, materials and tools
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Respect confidentiality
• Must be able to use tact and diplomacy in human relations

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Completetasks or responsibilities as directed by Food Service Manager or Food Service Director'sguidelines
• Prepare food to assure that planned menus are followed
• Knowledge of food productions and sanitation etc.
• Lifting of large pots and cans of food for preparation and serving of school lunches
• Adhere to the district's expectations with regards to attendance and punctuality
