Physical Demands

Requires hand and finger coordination, reaching, climbing, balancing, crouching, twisting, crawling, and kneeling. Work in noisy, hot or cold environments with chemicals, cleaning equipment, dust, fumes, and odors. Long periods standing.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Provide limited supervision over subordinate food service workers engaged in serving foods, cleaning facilities, and preparing serving line meals.
• Assist cooks and kitchen personnel with tasks such as cleaning and paring vegetables, washing dishes, serving from a serving line, cleaning tables, and sweeping floors.
• Maintain neatness and cleanliness in preparing, handling, and serving food, and serve patrons in a pleasant and courteous manner. Manage use of food service equipment such as meat slicers, mixing machines, and steam cookers.
• Perform related work as assigned by management.
