The Department of Food and Nutrition at Barnes-Jewish Hospital serves Patient, Retail, and Catering Service areas on both the North and South Campus. This includes patient meal and Clinical Nutrition Services, Queeny Tower Restaurant, three Cafeterias, and three Coffee Bars. Our department aims to serve patients, visitors, and employees with excellent customer service. Our qualified staff provide nutritional support during hospital stays to improve clinical outcomes and aid healing. Opportunities are available for all skill levels, from entry-level to management positions.
Role Purpose
Responsible for performing various food service functions such as setting up service areas, food portioning, serving, sanitation, operating cash registers, assembling patient trays, and assisting with customer requests. Food preparation may also be required at some locations.
