Job summary

Masonicare at Crosby Commons in Shelton, CT is seeking a Food Service Worker for the evening shift. This role supports the kitchen by washing dishes, maintaining sanitation, and assisting chefs and supervisors.

You will handle dishwashing, inventory, deliveries, and general cleaning with weekend hours and a 16-hour weekly schedule.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and verbal directions for chemicals used.

Responsibilities

• Sanitize the kitchen and maintain proper sanitation procedures.
• Set up the dishmachine, wash dishes, sort silverware, and clean glasses.
• Maintain cleanliness of pots, pans, and kitchen equipment with appropriate cleaners.
• Remove garbage and recyclables; organize storerooms and coolers.
• Assist manager and cooks with special cleaning projects as directed.
• Follow dress code and wear provided uniforms; hairnets as required.
• Receive deliveries and rotate stock in storerooms and coolers.
• Attend all scheduled in-services.

Evening Shift/ 16 hours a week/ Weekends

Summary:

Under the direction of the chefs and the Chef Supervisor, washes dishes and cleans equipment, floors and any other sanitation procedures asked of them.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Assist in the general sanitation of the kitchen, which encompasses all aspects of proper sanitation procedures.
• Sets up dishmachine for meal service and washes dishes, sorts silverware and cleans glasses.
• Mantains proper cleanliness of all pots and pans using proper chemicals and procedures. Cleans all kitchen equipment as requested by supervisor. Organizes and cleans storerooms and coolers.
• Removes all garbage from kitchen and puts in dumpster as well as recycle products.
• Assist manager and cooks in any special cleaning project as directed.
• Follows dress code for department wearing provided uniforms that are clean and neat. Wear hairnets as required.
• Receives all deliveries and properly rotates stack and organizes storeroom and coolers.
• Attend all scheduled in-services.
