Job summary

Masonicare at Crosby Commons in Shelton, CT seeks a dedicated Food Service Worker for the DAY SHIFT (20 hours per week, weekends). Under supervision of chefs and the Chef Supervisor, you will wash dishes, assist sanitation, and support meal service in a busy kitchen.

Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, setting up dishmachine, rotating storerooms, receiving deliveries, and following safety rules.

Qualifications

• Some high school education.
• On-the-job training provided.
• Able to follow verbal instructions and read directions for chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes and clean equipment and floors according to sanitation procedures.
• Set up the dishmachine for meal service and wash dishes; sort silverware and glasses.
• Maintain cleanliness of pots and pans; clean kitchen equipment as directed.
• Receive deliveries and rotate stock; organize storerooms and coolers.
• Assist manager and cooks with special cleaning projects as needed.
• Follow dress code and wear provided uniforms; use hairnets as required.
• Attend scheduled in-services.
