  • Complete opening and closing procedures and participate in inventory-related tasks.
  • Indirectly supervise and guide student and hourly staff in food production and service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across all assigned work areas.
  • Other duties as needed.

Essential Job Duties
  • Prepare and serve food in accordance with established quality, safety, and portioning standards.
  • Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and equipment according to food codes and department sanitation practices.
  • Operate and maintain foodservice equipment safely and effectively.
  • Monitor food temperatures, restock supplies, and ensure uninterrupted service flow.
  • Complete opening and closing procedures and participate in inventory-related tasks.

Conditions of Employment

Pre-employment Criminal Background Check (required for new hires). Pre-employment Physical: Successfully complete the WorkSTEPS evaluation. Essential Services Designation - Required to report without delay or interruption to provide essential or emergency services to ensure health, safety, and welfare.

Shift Work

This position may be required to work extended shift hours and/or a modified swing shift to meet departmental staffing requirements.

Special Requirements / Other
  • Must obtain the ServSafe Certification within six months of hire and maintain it throughout employment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum Years of Experience and/or Skills: Six months of experience in a customer service capacity in food service, retail, hospitality, or related industry.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Six months+ experience in a foodservice or retail operation. Experience in a high-volume foodservice operation.
  • Hiring Authority Demonstrated ability to handle multiple activities and tasks with competing priorities. Demonstrated interpersonal and verbal communication skills necessary for building and maintaining successful work relationships. Exemplary customer service skills. Demonstrated experience providing memorable customer service interactions with customers and colleagues. Food safety certification such as ServSafe.

Salary Range $39,816 - $43,798
