Position Overview: Food Service Worker (Supervisor-Level)

As a Food Service Worker, you'll prepare and serve food in a correctional facility kitchen. You’ll supervise inmate labor and ensure proper food safety and sanitation practices are followed. This is a hands-on role with leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise kitchen operations and oversee inmate or team member labor.
• Prepare and serve a variety of meals based on standardized recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness and follow all facility safety and sanitation protocols.
• Support other kitchen duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods

Preferred

• Prior experience in institutional, restaurant, or cafeteria food service
• ServSafe Food Handler Certification (training and a $0.25/hour pay increase available)
